Architecture and Graphic Design Course 2B

Both the architecture, as well as the graphics, exlpores interconnectedness within the world and ourselves. The idea of the project is movement forward, that is illustrated through connecting the dots. The dots illustrate important people, as well as importnat moments in one’s life and the line between them is therefore the life moving through the points. The project can be divided into three parts, architecture model, typeface and a video sequence.
The project followed a journey of making from one thing to the next
1. A song was selected that inspired us
2. Analysing the melody of the song and turning it into illustrations and photographs that represented the sound
3. Turning those visuals into a graphic alphabet
4. Turning the alphabet into a 3D shape
5. Turning those 3D shapes into a architecture
6. Making a final scale model proposal out of plaster
7. Turning all this into a video sequence using stop motion
