Set design for the parade 2024 festival performance
Inspired by scaffolding and the beauty they hold. Scaffolding often goes overlooked and its beauty unrecognised. It used to cover up the construction that happens and is only meant to be temporary. I find beauty in this practice of hiding oneself for a reconstruction and that cover up also beautiful. Other aspects of the buildin are highlighted through out this experince. That’s why I wanted to create a modular set design that it ever growing and changable.
The set designs are combined with a performance of light and glass. Inspired by the reflections that the
scaffoldings hold, I wanted to base the performnace around how glass can manipulate light.
