SET DESIGN
DE PARADE
MODULAR SCAFOLDING SET DESIGN
2024
Set design for the parade 2024 festival performance,
In collaboration with Sirui Wen and Borisz Szily.
Inspired by scaffolding and the beauty they hold. Scaffolding often goes overlooked and its beauty unrecognised. It used to cover up the construction that happens and is only meant to be temporary. I find beauty in this practice of hiding oneself for a reconstruction and that cover up also beautiful. Other aspects of the buildin are highlighted through out this experince. That’s why I wanted to create a modular set design that it ever growing and changeable.

ARCHITECTURE, SOUND, PERFROMANCE
EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED
2023
Both the architecture, as well as the graphics, exlpores interconnectedness within the world and ourselves. The idea of the project is movement forward, that is illustrated through connecting the dots. The dots illustrate important people, as well as importnat moments in one’s life and the line between them is therefore the life moving through the points.
GLASS WORK
DISTORTED LENSES
2024
Exploration into glass together with Nacho Carbonell. Inspired by the distortion of light by lenses, I wanted to dive deeper into this phenomenon and construct distorted lenses to play with light in a different way. Material experimentation with plaster molds and glass firing.
KORTE
2024
Social media and pop culture go hand in hand with manifestations.
The use of irony is a must to cope with the amount of media we consume.
Self analysis and the constant need for self improvement can be seen everywhere. I collected projects that touch on this topic and give insight into what we are feeling today.
RESEARCH PROJECT
THE INVERTED SELF
2023
The inverted self is a long project of self analysis and breaking down ones likes and dislikes. Through exploring fashion and myself, I decided to focus my project on the culture of western weddings and especially wedding dresses.
Wedding dresses symbolize purity and the vail has many different interpretations, such as protecting the bride from evil spirits before getting married. At first reading this I liked the idea of a wedding veil, however after reading more into it I understood that the protection was only there when the bride is being exchanged from the father to the husband, as she is not protected by a man at this point. So through more research on the topic, I wanted to create an outfit that expresses my inverted self, a wedding dress made only of veils, but for the protection of oneself.

RITUAL
2023
A daily ritual that encorporates a candle holder, and a sound piece. “ritual” is a sensory experience designed to create a harmonious and appreciative feeling towards life and time. The project explores the idea of incorporating spirituality into one’s daily routine, in their own desired way and on their own terms. A ritual is born when spirituality and routine is combined. This ritual is designed to take place in the morning, and make sure your day starts with a moment of appreciation for time. The ritual is a combination of lighting candles and listening to a meditative sound piece, designed to make you calm. Our current lifestyle is hectic and our calendars are packed full. Starting your day with a ritual brings your mind back to your body, and reminds you of the time passing by. This life is not only meant for accomplishing goals, but rather enjoying the time we spend. The calendar works opposite to a normal calendar and promotes conscious time use.
